| Job Description | Our client is looking for a UTP team member who will be responsible for calculating accurate prices and releasing them within the deadline to internal and external clients. UTP works closely with Portfolio Analytics, Reconciliations and Unit Registry areas on a daily basis to ensure that any material errors contained in fund portfolios are identified and resolved expediently.
Other key responsibilities our client is looking for in a UTP include the reconciliation of tax provisions to the accounts and the investigation and resolution of client queries. A further emphasis is also placed on the Analyst to become involved in and possibly lead projects that involve process improvement and/or client take-ons and restructures. Major Responsibilities: •Calculate unit prices for a specific clients •Review daily movements in world financial markets and asset sectors •Analyse performances of funds against financial market benchmarks •Attribute / explain performances out of line with market benchmarks •Review / explain all alerts encountered during pricing, follow up relevant departments to correct •Ensure that all daily controls and checklist items are followed and signed off •Release daily and/or monthly prices to client •Reconcile Monthly Accounts to Net Asset Values on a monthly basis and investigate differences •Partner with and maintain relationships particularly with Portfolio Analytics, Unit Registry and external clients •Project involvement and focus on continual process improvements General Knowledge and Experience Required: •PC literate to intermediate level with strong skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, Lotus Notes and Internet Explorer •Sound technical accounting skills •General knowledge and interest in the daily workings of the financial markets considered an advantage If you meet the criteria above, please email sydney@geoffreynathan.com.
