The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has granted Geoffrey Nathan Business Sponsorship (BS) status. This means that the DIAC has identified that Geoffrey Nathan has the need to source candidates from overseas who are qualified in industries where there is a candidate shortage in the Australian market.

Business Sponsorship status allows Geoffrey Nathan to sponsor a limited number of candidates during the validity of their Business Sponsorship, under subclass 457 business visas.

Qualifying for employment:

All candidates applying for sponsorship must meet the following criteria:

1. The candidate must be degree qualified and/or have 5 years experience in the industry they wish to be sponsored in. This does not apply in the case of IT, where they need not be qualified but have worked in the industry for 3 years however, computer technicians require 5 years relevant experience.
2. Candidates must have secured a role for a minimum of 4 months and a maximum of 4 years. 
3. The position must offer a minimum gross annual income at the rate of AUD$32 per hour ($57,250 per annum) for non IT candidates or $44 per hour ($78,400 per annum) for IT candidates per annum - all rates are inclusive of superannuation.
